Yoga Sadhana Ashram

Yoga Sadhana Ashram, Ayurveda in Rajasthan One of the highly admired yoga cure centres of India, the Yoga Sadhana Ashram, was founded in 1969 by Swami Anandanand Ji - a pioneer saint in the field of Yoga.

Nestled amongst lush green groves and a peaceful environment, the Ashram specialises in the treatment of heart troubles, blood pressure, psychic disorders and spondylitis etc.. It also supports the Yoga courses of the adjoining Government centre. The ashram conducts a three month certificate course in Yoga and one year Diploma Course in Yoga and Naturopathy which is recognised by Central Council for Research In Yoga and Naturopathy, Government of India, New Delhi.

Regular classes for yoga are held in the morning from 5 am. to 7 am. and in the evening from 5.30 pm. to 7 pm. Hawan, Yag, Dhyan etc. are also held for common visitors to the Ashram. Nature Cure Centre, Jaipur In Jaipur, is a popular and world renowned centre called Prakritik Chiktasalya, which has been a pioneer in the field of nature cure for the last five decades.

Built in a sprawling garden complex of three acres, the centre is walled from all sides to keep out the hustle-bustle of the outside world. Inside are the male and female wards for indoor patient and treatment rooms. Although all types of ailments are treated at the centre, it has made impressive progress so far in curing diseases like arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, colitis, diabetes, heart problems, obesity, acidity, jaundice, respiratory ailments and lumber spondylitis.

At the centre, treatment is solely based on the five elements - i.e. earth, water, sound, air and ether. It includes fasting, sun bathing, mud bath, wet sheet packing, steam bath and full tub bath (water therapy), Yoga Sadhana Ashram, Ayurveda in Rajasthan electrotherapy and massages.Patients from abroad come here repeatedly fortheir treatments. A juice centre, dairy farm, acupressure pathway and physiotherapy centre within the campus make it an ideal centre for nature cure.

Vipassana Dhammathali Centre for Meditation. Vipassana is one of India's most ancient meditation techniques. It was rediscovered 2500 years ago by Gautam Buddha. Now twenty five centuries later, this heritage of Vipassana is slowly disappearing from India. But the Vipassana Research Institute, Igatpuri (Maharashtra) conducts Vipassana courses in different parts of India. The Dhammathali at Jaipur is one of the few Vipassana Centres in the country.

The campus is situated on a four acre pentagonal piece of land surrounded by the sylvan forest valley o Galta Ghati , a part of the Aravalli mountain ranges. It has a cream coloured meditation hall, and a seating capacity for one hundred and fifty students, a Pagoda and a cell complex. The Central Cell of the ground floor of the Pagoda is encircled by three rings totalling to one hundred and sixty cells.

The Centre organises a ten-day course of meditation for new students as well as courses of long durations like twenty, thirty and forty-five days for experienced learners. Refresher courses of one day, three days and special ten - day courses are also held here for old students. All meditation courses are kept confined to the centre Itself.
